Seminar: "More accessible museums for deaf visitors"


The seminar was held on May 31st, 2006 at the Palazzo Massimo alle Terme in Rome.  It highlighted the specific problem of having limited number of art programs accessible to deaf individuals at museums. Museum officials and employees who where at the seminar acknowledged this issue and expressed the need to bridge this gap.


The seminar was attended: The Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Department of Politics School in the province of Rome, State Institute of the Deaf.
